A beautiful bicycle bridge crosses the Lage Dwarsvaart canal. Heading south, you enter the Hollandse Hout. From there, the Oostvaardersplassen are not far away.

Fishing is common on the other side. On this side, there's a hill offering a beautiful view of this intersection of canals.

Right off the highway, yet surrounded by idyllic nature - Haje Hotel and Restaurant. We spent two nights here on our trip to Amsterdam. It's only about 30 minutes from the P+R Arena Amsterdam, and from there, you can take the subway into the city. The staff was super friendly. There's self-check-in and self-check-out. Breakfast is available in the restaurant. Right next door, there's also a takeaway shop belonging to Haje. The entire grounds are lovingly designed. Simply beautiful!

You can take a ferry to the Marker wadden here. The Marker wadden are small islands, that were created to help restore nature in the Markermeer. By constructing nature islands using sand, clay, and silt from the Markermeer, new nature is developing—both above and below the water. https://www.natuurmonumenten.nl/natuurgebieden/marker-wadden
