Beautiful bronze sculptures in the pedestrian zone of Rahlstedt

In the summer of 2020, Hanno Edelmann's group of figures, The Whisperer, was permanently installed in Rahlstedt's pedestrian zone. The two figures were already on display at the end of 2016 as part of the Rahlstedt Cultural Association's "Figurendialog" exhibition, when twelve greeting sculptures by Hanno Edelmann, Heinz Schrand, and Bernd Stöcker were presented in Rahlstedt's public space. The association wanted to acquire one of the sculptures and launched a survey, with The Whisperer emerging as the winner. Donations financed a new cast, which has now taken its place amidst the hustle and bustle. On a stone pedestal, two figures sit relaxed together, letting their minds and feet dangle. One man turns to the second, forms a funnel with his hands, and whispers something in his ear. The bronze sculpture captures the carefree magic of everyday life.

Always worth a stop. It's interesting to see what some pilots do with their flying machines. There are plenty of benches on site to observe the hustle and bustle.
