You can also just stop and watch the bikers. For anyone who enjoys riding off-road and for whom drops, tables, and step-ups are no strangers, the dirt bike track in Geesthacht on the Elbe peninsula is a welcome training opportunity. Even beginners can try out the hilly and winding course and experience cycling from a completely different perspective. Just give it a try – it's really fun to do a few laps here. The track is suitable for BMX bikes, dirt bikes, and mountain bikes. The course is open as long as it's daylight. The area next to the track also offers many recreational opportunities for young people, including a beach lounge, a beach soccer court, and a beach volleyball court. https://www.geesthacht-tourismus.de/poi/dirt-bike-parcours-an-der-elbe

But you have to be careful...as already described, some people use it as their personal race track and if and but, what a pity

Today I cycled along the dike, from Stover Beach to the Rönner Elbe Bridge. The path is partly natural but also well-paved.

Yes, the dyke defense path is really great to ride on. Maybe a little too good, because it also attracts a lot of racing cyclists. They like to use this path as their personal "race track" and some lack empathy and consideration for other supposedly weaker people. So, in your own interest, always ride carefully and enjoy the beautiful route.
