The dam is located right at the beginning of the tour from the 'Auf der kalten Hude' parking lot at the underpass of Lüneburger Straße. The sound of the rushing water is very pleasant. There are several seats where you can listen to the rushing sound, which is very relaxing. A visit is highly recommended 👍.

"Ilmenau lowlands....simply wonderful" , but the route between B4/B209 is partly not ideal for gravel riding due to the surface and with naturally driven bikes it is a challenge, but if you want to avoid the federal roads or country roads (some without cycle paths), unfortunately a must
