Tostedt is at its most beautiful in this small alley.

The Este hiking trail is truly scenic here, but you must be able to ride a bike. It goes up and down over hill and dale. Trekking or mountain bikes are required here. We managed it with a child trailer, but we definitely do NOT recommend it. Our little one got quite shaken up.

The Tister Bauernmoor offers a variety of natural highlights in every season. The time when the cranes head south in large groups is particularly popular.

What a beautiful view. Tostedt is a wonderful starting point for many excursions. From here you can walk or drive to the Este and along it, or you can head out into the heath, which is really beautiful and large. There is also a bus from Tostedt that takes bikes to the heath.
