Although it likely existed for over 350 years, we know of only a few executions. Only five execution days are documented. From the few executions in Uelzen, we can probably conclude that the people here lived so law-abiding and civilized lives that harsh punishments were rarely imposed.

The “Siebenklang” is an impressive solar sculpture in Bornekamp Park in Unna, created by the artist Marlen Liebau in 1995. The installation consists of seven columns, each with individually designed sound heads. When the sun shines, these sound heads use solar energy to produce different tones that create a harmonious soundscape and offer park visitors a special acoustic experience. Over time, some of the sound heads were no longer fully functional due to technical defects. Thanks to the financial support of the Lions Club Unna Via Regis e.V., which also acts as a cultural sponsor, the work of art was able to be repaired in coordination with the cultural office of the district town of Unna. A local company checked all the sound heads and repaired technical defects, so that the “Siebenklang” now sounds fully again - provided the sun is shining. The “Siebenklang” is not only an acoustic but also a visual highlight in Bornekamp Park and invites visitors to pause and listen to the sounds. The combination of art, nature and technology makes this work a special attraction for art lovers and walkers alike. For cyclists and hikers, Bornekamp Park with the “Siebenklang” is a worthwhile destination. The park is well-connected by various cycling and hiking trails and, in addition to the “Siebenklang”, offers other works of art and an idyllic landscape that invites you to linger.

Unfortunately, the information in the display case is no longer legible. Perhaps the volunteers of the local history association could become active again here.
