I went hiking there in March. The trees didn't have any leaves yet. That's why you had a wonderful view of the green ivy growing up the trunks. And that with a low sun in the morning..... You can't observe something like that in the summer.

Around 1704, a Protestant church was built on the village green. It was replaced by the current church building in 1864/65.

Schildow's red brick church was built between 1896 and 1897 to replace a previously dilapidated wooden church. It was consecrated on December 19, 1897. In 2022, the interior underwent extensive renovations, and new bells were installed. The Sauer organ, built in 1898, is still in almost its original condition. This instrument, with its mechanical cone chest, is very solidly built and a true gem in terms of sound. The organ was completely overhauled in 2009. More information on the history of the Schildow parish can be found at: https://www.kirche-muehlenbeck-schildow.de/seite/671303/schildow.html
