And that's what you call a temple. In the very center of Wysowa-Zdrój stands this wooden church, built in 1779. The architecture is truly impressive and this place should not be missed!

The church was built in 1779 on the site of an earlier one, burned down in 1777 during the fights of the Bar Confederates with Russian troops. It was rebuilt in 1874. A thorough renovation in 2019–2020 restored the church to its former appearance. Since 2009, it has been an Orthodox church.

The place is located less than 3 km from the center of Wysowa-Zdrój. A great destination for a quiet family walk, even with children. Most of the way here is asphalt. Only the last 300-400 meters are a gravel road. You can read about the place and the Orthodox church located here on Wikipedia: https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cerkiew_Opieki_Matki_Bo%C5%BCej_na_%C5%9Awi%C4%99tej_G%C3%B3rze_Jawor

Built in 1779 as an oriented Greek Catholic temple. The interior polychrome with architectural, figurative and ornamental motifs was made in 1912–1913. The furnishings of the temple come from the 18th and 19th centuries. A valuable monument is the late Baroque iconostasis with a well-preserved set of icons. Currently Orthodox Church.

An impressive castle ruin in the middle of a wonderful landscape. The castle is freely accessible. However, donations are requested because extensive renovation measures and sometimes even restorations are being carried out. I think it's wonderful that you can still visit the castle. Please pay attention to the signs. There is so much to see in this castle that you don't have to go to places where the old structure has not yet been secured.

The royal castle was built shortly after 1317. It consisted of a triangular courtyard with a mighty tower and palace. An important period in the history of the castle begins in 1548, when King Ferdinand I presented it to Captain Juraj Serédy from Košice. The castle was expanded by two extensive courtyards with modern defensive elements. Their last owners were the Rákóczis. In 1684 the castle was conquered and demolished by imperial armies.
