Rarely observed rearing of red-throated diver offspring is possible here in spring. The adult birds leave the area for the neighboring lakes and return with forage fish to the waiting offspring.

Well-developed paths through the moor. According to the operator of the nearby hostel, there is probably a very rare bird 🐦 to watch in spring. Soe didn't know his name. She said it's a diving waterfowl. I assume that a star diver is meant.

Be careful with ice and snow or rain... the path is then extremely slippery.

A wonderful place for bird watching or just enjoying nature.

The ascent on the mostly planked paths is very easy. Please do not leave the trail on the muddy sections, so as not to disturb the birds. Don't forget binoculars! If available, it's also worth lugging a large telephoto lens.

Knuthöjdsmossen is a very rewarding place for bird watching. Several species of ducks (e.g. goldeneye and gadwall), but especially red-throated divers raise their young here. What is spectacular is the arrival of the parent birds, who successfully hunt outside, with the young birds waiting on the water in June/July, when their numerous feedings are scheduled throughout the day.
