I've marked this as a bike tour highlight since Komoot recommended this as a route for bike touring. In the event that other people taking a bike tour see this as a recommended route: I highly discourage bringing touring bikes into this singletrack part of the trail. This trail is only suitable for mountain bikes or cyclocross. We had to walk our loaded bikes the entire way (this was in October; your mileage may vary in other seasons). If you're ok with walking, expect to walk in the bushes and push your bike through deep mud puddles for about 40 minutes or so.
