I've ridden the bike path along the Queich several times from Hauenstein (train station) to Germersheim. The Queich is a 50 km long stream. The source is in Hauenstein, near the Paddelweiher, there is also a serviced hut, the Paddelweiher-Hütte. The cycle path follows the Queich in the immediate vicinity through the towns (Annweiler - Landau - Germersheim) and several villages, through meadows, forests and fields with plenty of variety. The "Bärenbräu" brewery is located in Ottersheim, as is the "Teilungswehr" that divides the Queich. The distribution of the water is worth seeing and informative. Through the forest it goes to Bellheim, then to Germersheim. The Queich flows into the Rhine in Germersheim. There are good restaurants along the way. In Annweiler: Chelini iced coffee, Rathausplatz; Cafe Escher, main street. In Bellheim: To the gazebo, small garden area next to the swimming pool, open from 1 p.m. In Germersheim: Rhenania rowing club, located on the Rhine; Zum Frölichen Hecht, Heilbronner Str. (industrial area)
