"Dat Holthus" -Café-Restaurant-Biergarten- in Wagenfeld: For about 20 years, this has been a popular dining destination for cyclists and a byword for homemade cake in large portions and for traditional, rustic, owner-run hospitality in a quaint atmosphere (Mindener Str. 15a, 49419 Wagenfeld, Tel.: (05444) 712 ; Owners: Günter & Marlene Holzförster). The wooden house, built around 2006 in the Finnish log cabin style, had its name from the outset in the vernacular: Dat Holthus. And so it has remained to this day. In good weather, you can sit wonderfully outside in the large coffee and beer garden, which is now shaded by quite large trees. "Dat Holthus" is open: Tue - Sun, from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Monday is a day off. Table reservation is recommended for larger groups!

The Hunte crosses the region in a south-north-easterly direction and flows directly through the Dümmer.

Suitable for road cycling in both summer and winter. Caution: after rain or damp weather, the road through the small wooded area remains wet for a very long time.
