The water castle complex was originally located on two islands; today, the outer bailey and the main castle are united and surrounded by two moats. This defensiveness and some baroque elements are reminiscent of the historical significance of Egelborg. https://www.lwl.org/geodatenkultur/objekt/252620

Beautiful chapel. Located a bit outside, which makes it suitable for a break. From here, you can also continue directly into the industrial area / to Ahle through a narrow passage and thus do not have to go along the main road.

Unfortunately, the milk station is permanently out of service. However, there are still so many other items available, including eggs, drinks, snacks, etc. A really nice log cabin has also been built for a cozy rest. A wonderful and peaceful place, even though the actual milk station no longer exists.
