A wonderful collection of historic sights in Heppenheim, including the imposing St. Peter's basilica and the old market square. The whole old town is worth exploring at the start or end of the ride.

This beautifully preserved red-brick water tower from 1908 is a local landmark in Edingen-Neckarhausen. Easily spotted from the road and a great photo opportunity on the route.

The Protestant Gustav-Adolf-Kirche in Hüttenfeld (Lampertheim) is a listed church building from 1925, built with the support of the Gustav-Adolf-Werk. The octagonal steeple with three bells (from 1953, as the originals were lost in the war) and the triangular gable above the portal with a Bible passage are striking. Inside, the church impresses with its coffered ceiling and an organ from 1980. Source: https://mapy.com/de/turisticka?source=osm&id=110671940&x=8.5874429&y=49.5951778&z=17

The church at Beindstr. 4 was built in 1871/72 by Heidelberg architect Heinrich Behaghel in the Neo-Gothic style. It replaced a smaller predecessor church and offers space for approx. 500 to 600 people. During a fundamental renovation in 1963, the baptismal font and altar were renewed to suit the taste of the time. In 1999/2000, a matching pulpit was erected.
