Kallmünz is nestled in the confluence between the Vils and Naab rivers. The Stone Bridge over the Naab is a particularly beautiful spot to enjoy a magnificent view of the river. Colorful houses with terraces and steps are beautifully reflected in the river. This town is a truly memorable experience. In 2010 the convent was abandoned by the sisters due to lack of staff. The last five remaining sisters moved to the Zangberg monastery. In 2013 the monastery buildings were sold to the Herder school association. The association now runs a secondary school and a technical college for design in the buildings.

Steinerne Brücke Kallmünz - very nice vantage point on Kallmünz. Right next to the old bridge. There are benches to rest and enjoy the view. There are also bicycle racks and a drinking water dispenser.
