Something easy to miss: there was supposed to be a sign here on the tree, but you can't tell where it was pointing anymore because the tree has almost completely swallowed the sign. It's a bit bizarre.

The Legend of the "White Stone" A somewhat bizarre legend surrounds the so-called "White Stone," a weathered and oversized stone that walkers encounter in the forest of the same name. According to legend, in earlier times, young married couples who were denied childbearing would gather there during a full moon and walk around the white stone several times. Village chronicler Heribert Heidrich explains that the "necessary ingredients" were naturally essential. Success is said to have been immediate. Today, this custom is no longer practiced, but only because the couples no longer know whether to walk left or right. To ensure that the stone retains its legendary shine, Erhard Krämer occasionally "freshens it up" with a bucket of paint. A bridge built without mortar! I find the different sizes of the bridge arches interesting.

A beautiful resting place nearby—peace and time to reflect on the significance of ancient Celtic sites and places. It's a bit mystical here.
