It is a two-storey baroque plastered building with a double coat of arms of the von Dewitz and von Bülow families. From 1303 to 1945 the estate was owned by the von Dewitz family, the last owner until 1945 was Fritz von Dewitz. Mrs. von Dewitz died in Cölpin during the expulsion, Mr. von Dewitz moved to Lübeck with his children and wrote a book there "About the Forest" (the Cölpiner!). After 1945 refugees moved into the manor house, later it was used for a school and a restaurant. After 1992 the Johanniter-Unfallhilfe used the building. In 2008 the current owner acquired the manor house, a stud farm with show jumping horses is being built here as an outpost of the Aldenbergh stud farm in Holland....
