The Kölleda town hall, with its historic building from 1702, dominates the market square of the peppermint town and is one of the region's significant architectural monuments. A watchman was housed in the tower as a tower keeper. In addition, the pillory stone on the west side has been preserved, which still reminds of Kölleda's long city history.

This memorial, which commemorates the 55,000 dead in Buchenwald, stands at the beginning of the Blood Road leading to the camp

A place to pause and remember. I felt a very oppressive feeling during my visit, especially given the size of the camp. Please never again 🙏 I was pleased to see that many young people and students had also found their way to the camp during my visit. However, it should be noted that cycling is not permitted in the camp area.
