You can enjoy lovely views of the town and Afon Valley from this high up viewpoint on Pontrhydyfen Viaduct. The viaduct itself was build in 1898 by the Port Talbot Railway.

A lovely viewpoint over the lower village and across the hillside and valleys. Another great moment on this trail to take a moment out and appreciate nature. Panoramic view is all around which are just breathtaking. The track is wide enough if you do want to stop here and put your bike to one side to appreciate the views, to not being in anyone’s way if anyone is coming down the trail from above.

Beautiful missy and green section of trail which crosses a stream that goes down the hillside. Lovely to take a moment on the ride and appreciate nature. Note: bridge does have grip tape on but still May be slightly slippery in the wet or winter conditions.

Check out the Afan Valley Bike Shed - great helpful staff and they sell a selection of souvenirs - tees, hoodies, mud guards & stem caps (always good to support the local shop).
