Not all trails in this area permit mountain bikes. Check it first. The rangers over there are zealots.

Penycloddiau is a hill in Flintshire, Wales, and one of five Marilyns in the Clwydian Range. The hill, like Foel Fenlli and Moel Arthur to the south, has an Iron Age hillfort at its summit. It covers 26 hectares making it one of the largest hillforts in Wales.

This path is gravel so roadbikes be aware unless you have gatorskins. Very hilly section but definitely worth the effort for the wonderful views

Probably the best singletrack in the Clwyds. There are so many trails in this area that you can mix and match to suit conditions and energy levels. The views on a sunny evening up here are breathtaking.
