Great pub, lovely sitting outside on a sunny day. Also, there's a YHA round the back.

Nice Descent through the woods. Different lines to choose from.

A section of the Jack Mytton Way, this can be ridden either direction, but is definitely more enjoyable as a descent than a climb! As a descent, it isn't technical, allowing moments to lift your eyes up to the horizon and enjoy the spectacular views of the South Shropshire hills.

Rated as a blue MTB trail. βCan sometimes be wetβ.

This run is not for the beginner, whilst most of the run would probably be graded red, there are a number of occasions where it rapidly becomes very steep and technical so overall I would say it would be considered black. Conditions will also play a big part. Heavy rain will make the very rooty sections very slippy, the ground is already soft so traction can be an issue, but the landing is softer when you crash

Minton Batch is truly fabulous, and usually deserted. I was once divebombed by a hawk there, I got too close to its nest. In wet weather the ground gets boggy so dress accordingly.

During a time of famine, a fairy gave a magic cow that provided an endless supply of milk. One night an evil witch milked her into a sieve. When the cow realised the trick, she disappeared. The witch was turned to stone and a circle of stones was erected around her, to ensure that she could not escape.
