Tips from the Community

Alice Baddeley
January 13, 2024, Saint Leonard's Church, Thorpe Langton

Originating in medieval times, Saint Leonards Church dates back to the 13th to 15th century AD. It's a pleasant place to stop for a rest as it's tucked away off a footpath in the quaint village of Thorpe Langton. There's also a bench outside.

This track going between Thorpe Langton and Stonton Wyeville has great views of the surrounding countryside. It can get a little muddy in the summer but rides very nicely when it dries up.

It looks and rides much better when it's dry. :) It gets quite scenic where the road crosses the brook.

Fast gravel in the summer!

There are 2 bridges to cross this Ford. The wooden bridge is narrow due to the proximity of a tree. If on a bike you may need to lift it up by the handlebars to pass by the tree. There are also a couple of low steps.

Choice of cafes and plenty of grass to sit out on. Shame about all the cars
