A lovely peaceful place to gaze out across the estuary and if you are a birder to observe the bird life. Unfortunatelty there are no facilities here apart from a car park, two benches and one 6 seater picnic table (in the car park itself) There are no toilets here. The nearest facilities are in Booths supermarket (for patrons) at Hesketh Bank, 2.4 miles (3.8km) away or Southport, 9 miles (14km).

End of the trail except for the very brave (or foolish!). Highly recommend turning off here to the tarmac. If very brave(!) continue for another 2.7k along the River Ribble floodplain then turn off to the left (might need to carry your bike up the bank) and head a couple of hundred metres to the RSPB Hesketh Out Marsh. Trail ride ends at this point - treat yourself to some lunch!
