Another great viewpoint, and the memorial to Syd Scroggie, poet and hillwalker, who was blinded and lost a leg in World War II, but continued to walk Scotland's hills. In the words of his self-penned epitaph, "Allaw these steens there lies a lad Pech't oot an' fairly deen, He gaed his ain gait a' his life But whiles wi' ithers een."

You have a wonderful view of all the surrounding high mountains, especially on the summit there is a disk with arrows to the respective viewpoints around it.Today at noon it was especially nice because it was sunny and you could see all 1000m peaks all around because of the cold of the previous ones Days covered with snow. BenLawers, Ben Vorlich, Beinn Ghlo, maybe Cairngorms Mountains, and on the other side of the Tay it was white too.
