As Harris' capital, Tarbert is a great base camp for adventures on Harris and Lewis. While staying here, you can visit the Isle of Harris Distillery, the Loomshed Brewery or purchase some Harris Tweed from the shop of the same name. The main draw for hillwalkers will be The Clisham, the Outer Hebrides' only Corbett, at 2,621 feet (799 m). However, many of the hills in the region are also spectacular objectives.

Stony track, see pics for kind of track as they vary a bit from tar at the start to single track then stony walk path then when path ends on to moor grassy and marsh on lower ground. Stay a wee bit high and you will be ok. I would have gone further than I did to make a circle cycle/walk but had a time to keep to meet someone and had to drive to pick them up. When you get to the grassy area basically a hike a bike but are wee bits you can cycle. Will do a circle route next time plus bee hive dwellings.

Beautiful reservoir in Outer Hebrides' North Harris with a footpath that brings you close to the loch's shore.
