Now a forestry plantation that grows right up to the beach and alongside the John Muir Country Park. This area was used extensively for military training and defence during the 1st and 2nd world wars. There is evidence of trench systems and firing ranges around the edge of the woodland. Later the area was a gold course, now it's a wonderful area for a quiet walk. Watch out for the deer.

Beautiful ruin overlooking the harbour. Dunbar castle was supposedly once one of Scotland's strongest fortresses given its position. Now it's a great tourist attraction with loads of interesting bits to explore.
