The Gretna Inn is a restaurant, bar and hotel in the town centre, only a 2-minute walk from the Gretna Gateway Outlet shopping centre. Food is served daily from 12pm to 8:30pm; lunchtime light bites like sandwiches and paninis are available Monday to Saturday from 12pm to 2.30pm. Probably needless to say that they also have a large selection of beers and soft drinks 😜.

Historically, Gretna's location, just across the border between England and Scotland, made it a popular choice for eloping couples wanting to take advantage of Scotland's more liberal marriage laws. It maintains this heritage today and is still an immensely popular place for couples to tie the knot. Birdwatchers will be also keen to know that it is a good place to see starling murmurations in the autumn.
