don't try to go down this way, the path is completely blocked, may 2025 and I doubt it will be clear for at least a year if ever. literally hundreds of trees down , roots, craters and branches and trunks making it really hazardous

Park up in Pucks Glen Car Park. Saddened to see all the litter here. Wish people would be more considerate. Start the walk by following the path beside the plastic looking lodges (don't be enticed by the little footbridge heading uphill)

For a more peaceful walk, consider exploring the Bullwood Nature Trail. It's regarded by locals as a superb hidden gem, offering a chance to enjoy the woodland scenery away from the more popular routes.

Absolutely. Benmore Botanic Garden is located very close to Puck's Glen and has its own network of paths, including an impressive avenue of giant redwoods. Many trails in the area, particularly those around Loch Eck, are situated near the gardens, making it easy to combine a hike with a visit.
The Cowal Peninsula is rich in wildlife. In the woodlands of Argyll Forest Park, keep an eye out for red squirrels and red deer. Along the coast and sea lochs like Loch Long and Loch Fyne, you might be lucky enough to spot seals, porpoises, and otters.
