The trees have been harvested. There is a path just outside the deer fence which leads to the stone circle.

Drinne Tower can be accessed May to September. The forest to the east has been harvested, opening the view towards Mintlaw, Peterhead and Fraserburgh.

Situated between Old Deer and Mintlaw, Deer Bridge carries traffic over the Buchan and Formartine Way. This bridge would have been close to the former station of Mintlaw, located a few metres to the east of the bridge.

The ruins of the old mansion house within the Aden estate. The frontage is impressive and interesting to see. It is set within the Aden Country Park, where there is many other things to see, walks, a cafe and visitor centre.

Deer Abbey is just of the Formartine and Buchan way and well worth stopping by. Maintained by Historic Scotland and free entry, the ruins are interesting to explore. Is it said this was once the home of the book of deer, the oldest know Gaelic writing.

Country Park has loads of well built trails and paths to run along. Plenty of parking and toilets at the visitor centre. Very picturesque woodlands, streams, and countryside views.

The lake makes a great loop to run, and is often filled with wildlife. A whole loop is about 1km. There is plenty of parking in Mintlaw. The bridge here makes a good picture.
