In the Remembrance Room at the church cemetery, you get a very personal insight into the history of the victims. In a book, there is a biography for each one. Strikingly many students from my own year. Brokers, bankers, lawyers, professors, parents, children. 3 victims are buried in the cemetery and one would assume they belong to the 11 residents. However, they are passengers and for 2, the biography shows that they grew up near Lockerbie or had ancestors there. Very tragic to return to one's homeland like this. I have added pictures from the memorial room. For those who want to take the time to learn more about the events and background, I recommend this Wikipedia article: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockerbie-Anschlag
