First of all, we would like to thank you for your extremely interesting comments and now share our opinion. As a nature- and culture-friendly community, we have come to the conclusion that the term "desertification" is, in our opinion, a mere exaggeration and that you, dear Mr. Laurenz, have merely used it as a vague umbrella term for the precious, fertile agricultural soil of the Weinviertel. Consider this fountain in this little corner of Eden, but as a timeless testament to the important agricultural advances that have taken place in northern Lower Austria in recent decades. Technical advances in these sectors have revolutionized agriculture and forestry and made life in the countryside easier. Let us leave these primitive times behind us, and with them this spring, which serves as a monument to the past, and look forward with joy to a future full of luxury and abundance.

The "Falkensteiner Window" is the most recommended one far and wide and you should definitely go up here and look at the beautiful area including the castle through the frame, almost kitschy beautiful!

The local news district newspapers once described the exotic monument with the words: "No one understands it, but many like it." It's quite an eye-catcher!

Poysbrunn Castle, now also known as the fairytale castle, is located in one of the most picturesque areas of the Weinviertel. It was first mentioned in a document in the 12th century as “Veste Bozesbrunn”. The castle was badly damaged during the Hungarian Wars. The reconstruction essentially gave it its current shape and its unique character. Mysterious cellar vaults are hidden behind the thick castle walls and narrow spiral staircases lead to ancient, creaking doors that take us into the fairytale world... The large castle park also lives up to all expectations. Centuries-old trees give the garden an idyllic, fairytale atmosphere. Every year wonderful weddings take place in the fairytale castle and the Autumn Magic, a handicraft market with great attention to detail, is also worth a visit. More information about the castle can be found here at www.schloss-poysbrunn.at
