On a traffic island in Emmelshausen, not far from the train station (the terminus of the Hunsrück Railway), stands this group of figures of an adult and another person who could be a child in terms of size, but is actually a depiction of a bent man. The man standing upright is PETER PIES, the family was "bone menders" (as they were called back then) for several generations. The sculpture was created by Jutta Reiss in 2008.
