You can bring your own snacks, which is also encouraged, as it is a European-sponsored mountain hut, managed by Goldkronach. It is open, meaning the restaurant is only open on weekends. However, there are seating areas and you can also find shelter.

Unfortunately, the ant isn't in particularly good condition anymore. Hopefully, it will be restored soon. Nevertheless, it's still recognizable as an ant and still a good place for a quick detour. It's right on the trail, after all. ^^
