A very beautiful and interesting hike around the Fláje reservoir. The history of the village of Fleyh, which had to be relocated for the construction of the dam, is particularly moving. Everything is explained very clearly on several information panels around the reservoir.

In 2001, Fláje consisted of 3 houses, in which 20 people lived.[5] From the old village, the foundations of the relocated church and houses are still visible on the eastern shore of the reservoir.

I can only warmly recommend this tip. You can extend it if you hike towards Moldau, or along the border to Holzhau (Fischerbaude). Peace and quiet, fantastic Erzgebirge landscape.
