Cumlosen belonged to the Westprignitz district in the province of Brandenburg since 1817 and to the Perleberg district in the Schwerin district of the GDR from 1952. Cumlosen has been in the Prignitz district of Brandenburg since 1993. In the GDR, Cumlosen was the border crossing point (GÜSt) for shipping traffic between the GDR and the Federal Republic. The former customs port including the border tower now belongs to the Cumlosen boat club. The Wittenberge local branch of the Technical Relief Organization (THW) is located in the remaining buildings.

A super inn with a few guest rooms, and if there is no more space you can also camp in the garden. You should have a tent with you.

The Elberadweg offers a wonderful view of the Elbe and Elbe floodplains. Beautiful in every season! I always enjoy cycling here and I always find great photo opportunities here.
