Great hollow path from the parking lot up to the Madenburg. However, the densely standing trees do not allow for a wide view.

In Eschbach, whose inhabitants have the nickname "Esel" (donkey) because in the past the inhabitants used to bring goods to Madenburg with pack donkeys. For the 750th anniversary celebration, there is a special experience tour through the village. 30 artistically designed donkeys have been positioned all over the village. Each one a unique original. 'Small' and 'Big Artists' have lent a hand to individually design the donkeys. The "Eschbacher Esel" is a likeable ambassador for the quality wine-growing community and rightly takes center stage in the anniversary year. The exhibition brochure lists the location and name of each donkey.

At the western entrance to Göcklingen there are 2 sculptures, which represent important identification figures of Göcklingen: a) Sculpture "Ur-Gockel": The Gockel is the mascot of the village of Göcklingen; in 1254, Göcklingen was first mentioned in a document; excavations this year are, of course, made up... :-) b) The "Göcklinger Halseisen": "A silver neck iron on a blue background adorns the Göcklingen community coat of arms as a sign of jurisdiction. Based on this symbol, the sculptor Susanne Egle created this sculpture in 1994". (Literal text on the information board at the sculpture)

The richly structured roof turret was probably built by carpenters from the Allgäu region." Inside: baroque pulpit with the figure of the good shepherd; church windows with the motifs of Christmas/Good Friday/Easter. - Source (partially quoted verbatim) and further information: https://www.goecklingen.de/kopie-sehenswuerdigkeit-evkirche
