I can confirm the issue with the cracks in the asphalt; that annoyed me a bit, too. But after the climb up to Barban, it's nice that it's more or less constantly downhill here.

Beautiful place. I happened upon it by chance on a bike ride. I received a very friendly welcome, was given fresh water for my water bottle, and I took a look around the park. Everything is so lovingly done, I definitely recommend stopping by. #SAVETHEBEES

I had to leave the fish market because it stank so bad. That has little to do with freshness. Next to the hall is another market with fruit and vegetable stalls and vendors selling regional products. It's very nice.

It is one of the best preserved Roman amphitheatres built in the 1st century AD. In the past it was of course used to organise gladiatorial competitions for around 20,000 spectators

North of Vodnjan there are perfect, almost unused roads inland that are suitable for racing bikes. Small example: Bokordici-Rezanci-Pačići-Butkovici-Orbanici…

Or rather a great descent from Valtura where you can pick up some speed - or just roll down comfortably
