Everything nicely in one place with the Romans: from a sanctuary to a bath to the basilica. I think it's great how nice they had it even back then...

The Mura is a very wide river in Mursko Središće. What's immediately noticeable is that the community has adapted to the river. A beautiful bay was built on the right bank of the Mur, and a very inviting restaurant area was created in this area. It's inviting.

The castle is the most valuable monument of secular architecture in Čakovec and Međimurje, and it was mentioned for the first time in historical documents in the 13th century. It was raised by a noblewoman of the Čak (Csak) family. In 1546, the castle came into the possession of the Counts of Zrinski, who, under constant threat from the Ottoman Empire, turned the castle into a modern Renaissance fortress and luxurious palaces. Today's appearance dates back to the 18th century. Founded in 1954, it houses the Čakovec Museum of Međimurje. Today, it is the central memorial site of Međimurje County as a symbol of its identity and tradition.

It was built by merchant capital in 1903 in the Hungarian Art Nouveau style as a meeting place for citizens, a new social class in Međimurje. It was built according to the project of Hungarian architect Ödön Horvath, commissioned by the Čakovec lawyer Rudlof Wollak, for the needs of the Čakovec Merchants' Association. In addition to the room for playing cards and other board games, the building housed a special chamber for ladies, a reading room and a dance room. During two decades, 1966 – 1986, part of the building was used as a library and reading room. From the end of the Second World War until today, the building is known as the union headquarters.
