On this visit, it was a nice gravel road, perfect for hardtail, gravel or touring bikes. On our last though, it was washed out and rough, definitely MTB territory. I guess it depends on when it was last maintained 🙂

The end of the island is reached here; small boats occasionally dock at the jetty, taking you to the island of Ilovik. The island is worth a visit!!! :)

To get to this point, you should definitely only take the road. All other trails are also unsuitable for mountain bikes. We tried it and ended it after a few kilometers with a hike-a-bike, carrying the bikes up to the road. I then hiked around the southern tip again, 28 km from the center of the island. I managed it on foot.
