Who is waiting there in the woods? The Sandman! 🪵🌙 This wonderfully carved wooden statue by the wayside is an absolute eye-catcher and a perfect photo opportunity on the Christkind-Runde. Especially when motivation wanes, familiar figures like this immediately reawaken the spirit of discovery in the kids. A wonderful little stopover to catch your breath! (And for us parents, the perfect opportunity to give the winking hint that after this great hike, everyone will definitely sleep well tonight 😉). Geprüft von @wanderfamilie.erzgebirge

The Jelení Skok (chamois statue) is one of the most famous viewpoints in Karlsbad – and a real highlight for your Komoot tour. 🦌🌄 From the striking rock ledge with the famous chamois statue, you get a spectacular view over the entire spa town: the winding Teplá river, the elegant colonnades, and the densely wooded slopes all around. The contrast between nature and sophisticated architecture is particularly impressive. 💡 **Tip:** The short climb is especially worthwhile in the early morning or evening hours – it's quieter then, and the light bathes Karlsbad in an almost magical atmosphere. Perfect for a photo highlight of your route! A spot that is guaranteed to stay in your memory – the view in Karlsbad hardly gets any more classic. ✨

The Gloriette of Mayer (Hirschsprung viewpoint) is one of the most beautiful viewpoints around Karlsbad – peacefully located and with a real postcard view. 🌄 From the elegant, small pavilion structure, you have a fantastic view over the old town, which winds picturesquely through the valley. The combination of colorful houses, dense forests, and the gentle hills surrounding it is particularly impressive. 💡 **Tip:** The short detour is especially worthwhile in clear weather or in the evening hours – then Karlsbad shows its most photogenic side. Perfect for a short break with a view! An ideal spot for anyone who wants to crown their tour with a real panorama highlight. ✨

The Hans Heiling Rock is a legendary natural monument on the Ohře River near Hory and Doubi, west of Karlovy Vary. A great hike along the Ohře. Unfortunately, the bridge is closed. It's about 3 km from the free parking area to the rocks. In 2007, the rocks were declared a National Natural Monument. The protected area comprises geomorphologically unique granite rock formations, up to 50 meters high, with their characteristic cuboid shape. The romantic valley is only accessible on foot, by bicycle, or by boat.
