The church has a Romanesque core dating from around 1200, making it one of the oldest buildings in the area. In the first quarter of the 14th century, the chancel, sacristy, and ossuary were rebuilt in the Gothic style. In 1584, further alterations were made, including the vaulting of the nave. In the 17th and 18th centuries, the church burned down twice (1670, 1717). In the second half of the 18th century, the church was rebuilt in the Baroque style, and a tower was added. In the 19th century, an oratory and a side chapel were built. The church and parish are documented as early as 1349.
