The fort was built in 1882-1886 as a single-rampart artillery fort with a pentagonal outline. In the neck part there were concrete barracks, and behind them two ammunition magazines. On the ramparts there were two artillery positions separated by crossbars. The fort's moat was defended with three caponiers, which increased its defensive capabilities.

I was in this place several times in August, during the main Calvary celebrations before August 15. There is a folk custom that whoever walks along the road to this hermitage for the first time walks backwards, led by one of his friends, for example a girl by a boy. You must not look back. It's a lot of fun, because the leader often deliberately steers the person through roots or other terrain obstacles. Of course, it was all for fun, not to hurt anyone by stopping them from falling. Another custom is to walk around the shrine while walking on your knees, and if someone has a birthday, they circle it as many times depending on their birthday, e.g. WW
