November 16, 2024, Dwór Jedwabno

The first mention of the village dates back to 1252. Over the centuries, the name of the village evolved: Seide, Zeyde, Zydow, Suide, Seiden, Seyde, and finally, thanks to the next owner - Jan Czarnowski - in 1925, the name of the village was changed to Jedwabno. Jedwabno Manor was built at the end of the 18th century. It is a classicist manor house. A single-storey building, erected on a rectangular plan, covered with a gable roof. The front elevation is nine-axis, with a three-axis small projection, preceded by a column portico supporting a balcony. Above it, an extension topped with a triangular pediment. In 1946, the manor house and the park were nationalized and taken over by the State Treasury. In 1988, the estate was purchased in a state of ruin by a private person who carried out a major renovation. (according to "Polish Monuments")
