What a dream up there on the castle keep... the view as far as the eye can see... and a little further... and if your nerves allow it... you can feel comfortable on a grill with a clear view down...?😜

A truly magnificent ruin... superbly maintained... it takes a few minutes to explore everything... and the attraction is certainly the spectacular keep with its view

Part of the Sinntalrunde Tour 15 from spessartbiken.de. Following the direction of travel, the path leads up to Schwarzenfels Castle. This is certainly not a "classic narrow trail". Rather, it is a field or meadow path, uphill with naturally existing gravelly/stony passages. Up to the castle with a "trail character" as it becomes increasingly narrower as it goes along. Two small steep/stony ramps included. In this respect, it is undoubtedly not a great riding/trail technical challenge😉😁! Nevertheless, this "castle ascent" also has its charm - a small physical challenge uphill accompanied by great views and distant vistas and with a fun factor! MTB tour variety, in other words.😊

There is a lot more history in this part of the property than in the baron's country castle, which was built later

A property built around 1890 that you wouldn't have expected in this architectural style... in private hands... the direct park is no longer accessible... still quite impressive

Ruins on the Ebersberg. Two towers and a wall of the castle are still preserved. One of the towers is even accessible and offers a great view of the Hessian Rhön (Wasserkuppe, ...)
