The shops on the "ground floor" are all empty. The access to the platform was locked, but the door said something like, "You can ask security between 12 and 8 p.m. to let you in" (I had a former colleague with me who was born in Poland). Unfortunately, the door to the platform was also locked. Security called it "abnormal." 🤷🏼♂️ The security guard didn't have time to go back up with us to unlock it...

You can't imagine this, a memorial to a drunk whose wife killed him in self-defense.

A sculpture erected in 2015 to commemorate the German writer Christa Wolf, born in pre-war Gorzów. The sculpture depicts a 15-year-old girl (Nelly) sitting on a sand bench, who is the heroine of the novel "Patterns of Childhood", in which Christa Wolf described her connections with Gorzów.

18th century half-timbered grain warehouse, located on the left bank of the Warta River. The exact date of construction is unknown. It was built after 1763 on the site of a redoubt defending a bridge crossing. It adjoined the transshipment quay. In the second half of the 19th century it was transformed into a warehouse for military needs. After the end of World War I it was adapted for commercial activities. After World War II it housed a warehouse of the GS Samopomoc Chłopska. In 1980 it was renovated and transformed into a museum.

We called this place the Alley of Plane Trees. Disturbing in their form, the trees. Powerful trunks, predatory branches. Plane trees are magical. They were brought to Europe at the end of the 17th century. I don't know yet how old "ours" are, but I'll try to find out. In the meantime, we recommend it. Such a reflection. I've been living in Gorzów since 1988 and only a few days ago I saw/saw, we noticed these Trees.
