Fort XI "Duńkowiczki" was built in the years 1884-1886 and was almost identical to Fort X "Orzechowce". Later modernization included adding gun ports on the wings of the barracks, where newer types of guns were placed. The armoured batteries were fitted with retractable armoured turrets, while the caponiers were not rebuilt.

Fort X "Orzechowce" was built in the years 1884-1886 as a two-rampart artillery fort with a pentagonal outline and a jaw-shaped neck. In its neck there were concrete barracks, and above them an upper rampart intended for guns for long-range defense. The front of the fort was the lower rampart with infantry and light artillery positions. The moat was defended with three caponiers, which increased its defensive capabilities.
