In front of this small sacred monument in the form of a commemorative cross, I would like to offer the viewer a brief prayer composed by the Polish-born Holy Father Jan Pawel II in preparation for the great jubilee of the Holy Year 2000: "Jesus, only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth, light that illuminates every human being, grant fullness of life to all who seek you with a pure heart. To you, the Redeemer of mankind, the beginning and end of time and the universe, to the Father, the inexhaustible source of all good, and to the Holy Spirit, the seal of infinite love, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen." (Pope John Paul II / Karol Wojtyla)

"Lord Jesus Christ, in the hour of death you did not remain indifferent to the fate of mankind and at the same time, with your last breath, you lovingly entrusted men and women of all times, with their weaknesses and sins, to the mercy of the Father. Fill us and future generations with your spirit of love, so that our indifference does not destroy in us the fruits that your death has produced. To you, crucified Lord Jesus Christ, God's power and wisdom, be honor and praise forever and ever. Amen." (Prayer for the Way of the Cross with the Holy Father, Pope John Paul II, Good Friday 2000)

In addition to the castle itself, the coach house is an equally interesting place worth seeing. It is a bit like a large garage from the old days where the owners kept their fleet of carriages, which were envied by the richest of the world at that time. A very rich collection of beautiful carriages intended for various occasions.

Pheasantry is an urban forest located a bit outside the city - for this reason it is a place that is not very frequented. So if we want to relax in solitude, it is definitely worth going there. We won't meet crowds of people along the way like in the park. Thanks to the huge number of trees, it is very cool there on hot days, although you have to watch out for all kinds of bugs. Moreover, Pheasantry may surprise us with quite solid hills. Once there, it is worth visiting the cross - the place of death of Lieutenant Adam Stysioł. The only disadvantage of this place is that, just like in the park, you can meet shady people there in the afternoon, evening and night.

The cross commemorates the death of Lieutenant Adam Stysioł alias Iskra, who died in this place on August 28, 1943. To get to the cross as quickly as possible, enter the Pheasantry from Lipowa Street. Going straight, we must pass the first perpendicular alley and soon turn into a path leading to a grove where there is a cross. Lieutenant Stysioł was buried at the Łańcut Municipal Cemetery - B2/14/12. More information about the lieutenant (6:28): https://youtu.be/Yrozlu1f6lo?t=389
