A baroque castle, built in 1682 on the foundations of a medieval fortress. The castle park is very well-kept and freely accessible, although there is a 5-star castle hotel in the castle. The preserved remains of the moat as well as the medieval bastions of the fortress bear witness to the original defensive character. It retained the baroque appearance from the end of the 17th century. Above the entrance is the family coat of arms of the Rothschilds. In the castle park, which is freely accessible, there are several models of castles. However, these are not labeled, so one does not know what these castles are called. Strange!

The Hlučín-Darkovičky fortification complex is a unique place for military history enthusiasts, located near the border with Poland. It consists of well-preserved combat bunkers from the 1930s, including MO-S 18 "Obora", MO-S 19 "Alej" and MO-S 20 "Orel". These structures were part of the Czechoslovak defense line built before World War II. Today, they serve as a museum under the care of the Silesian Museum in Opava. Access by road is possible without any problems.

The castle in Racibórz is one of the oldest and best documented castles in Silesia, with roots dating back to the 9th century. Situated on a river island, it was the seat of castellans, Racibórz princes and noble families for centuries. It has undergone many reconstructions, the most important of which is the Gothic chapel of St. Thomas Becket, called the pearl of Silesian Gothic. Currently, the castle houses, among others, a museum and a brewery and is open to visitors. Road riders can easily get here from the city center, and the courtyard is often the site of outdoor events.

The water from last week's storms has continued to move. The damage remains. If you look closely, you can see that the water had risen to just below the dyke line.
