Wunderbar Wanderbar
August 20, 2026, New Town Hall, Elbląg

Today's Elbląg Town Hall is located in a former grammar school, which was built between 1910 and 1912 as a representative school building. Since the post-war period, the building has served as the seat of the city administration and shapes the cityscape with its historical architecture. In front of the Town Hall stands the marble sculpture "Dying Achilles" from 1886, an interesting detail for a short photo stop. A worthwhile detour from the old town, especially for those interested in architecture and history.

The bandstand is located in the middle of the popular Bażantarnia forest park and has a long tradition as a venue for concerts and theatre. Its current form dates back to the early 20th century, when the park became a popular destination for excursions for the people of Elbląg. Today, events continue to be held here regularly. Especially in summer during the "Letni Salon Muzyczny". A beautiful stopover on your tour, combining nature and culture in a special way.

Wandering Cloud
April 3, 2025, Parasol

A historic resting place for the people of Elbląg in the Bażantarnia Park. The parasol was rebuilt in 2005 and looks rather unusual in the middle of the forest - a bit like that lamp in the middle of the forest in the first Narnia book! There is also a place for a bonfire, and the Srebrny Stream is right next door, chattering cheerfully to passers-by.

There are currently two town halls in Elbląg: the recently rebuilt Old Town Hall at Stary Rynek Street, and the New Town Hall, where the current city authorities are based. (...) The current town hall at Łączności Street 1 - the seat of the city authorities - is almost a hundred years old, built in 1910-1912. Before the war, it housed the Heinrich von Plauen Male Reformed Real Gymnasium. Once a historic building, it was surrounded by a beautiful garden, and its remains can still be seen today. A statue of the dying Achilles stands in front of the building. Source and more: https://mojemazury.pl/147202,Elblag-Ratusz-obecna-siedziba-wladz-miasta.html

Already in the 19th century, Pheasantry was a recreational place for the inhabitants of Elbląg. At the beginning of the 20th century, this place became part of the city's administrative borders, and then the band shell as we know it today appeared.
