The Kolberg lighthouse was rebuilt after the Second World War – i.e. after 1945. It stands on the right bank of the Persante river on the remains of Fort Münde, which was part of the Kolberg fortress. Its predecessor, a pilot house with a lighthouse, was destroyed at the end of the Second World War. The lighthouse is 90 meters high and has a surrounding gallery that is open to visitors. Its interior houses the Mineral Museum (Muzeum minerałów) and a restaurant. The internet reports that this is one of the oldest parks in Poland. It was once a forest called Załęże. It now houses a German lapidarium. It's also a beautiful park; a great place to relax on your hikes, especially if you're tired of walking on the beach and the sand that grips your feet. You'll love the paved paths and lush green trees.
